Spectacular Evening

A spectacular Presentation Evening at Fir Vale School which celebrated the achievement of pupils present and past.

The school’s Sports Hall was transformed with a stage setting for the evening and was packed with parents, staff, governors and special invited guests who warmly applauded the awards and achievements of Y8 to Y11 pupils.  

Special Guest speaker for the evening The Lord Lieutenant of Sheffield, Mr Andrew Coombe presented the awards and well-earned GCSE certificates to the returning Class of 2017.  The Lord Lieutenant who is heavily involved in Community Cohesion and was a founder member of South Yorkshire Muslim Community Foundation was highly delighted to be part of the evening’s celebrations.

Headteacher, Simon Hawkins said: “Presentation Evening is a wonderful way to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work and achievement of pupils.  I’m very appreciative of the extra work that staff do at Fir Vale to help pupils achieve and the support of parents and carers.  We all feel very proud this evening.”
