Shoebox Appeal

Over the last few weeks, Reybekka Jilani has been working on a project called the Christmas Shoebox Appeal. The appeal is about helping the homeless people in Sheffield so that some of the less fortunate can feel some Christmas cheer too.

Reybekka, with the help of donations, has been busy filling shoe boxes with gifts, food, household essentials, shoes, dog food and clothes, all in the aim of helping others.

Last Thursday, 30 filled shoe boxes were delivered to a local Tesco store and their reaction was overwhelming, so much so that Reybekka has been invited back for a special thank you from the store manager.

Overall, this is a great example of how our students and staff at Fir Vale have a lot to be proud of and so much to give to everyone around them.  Well done, Reybekka!
