Performance vs. experience - posted 29th Jan

This week the DfE published performance data for schools; the so called school ‘League Tables’.  The indicators for Fir Vale School are good with our key measure ‘Progress 8’ significantly above the national average.

First Blog - posted 22nd Jan

I am delighted to be drafting my first blog as your Headteacher.  Our new website is symbolic of the accelerated improvement and renewal we are all working hard to create at Fir Vale and I feel privileged to lead such an inspirational team of hardworking, caring professionals.  Our mantra this year is “Quality and Standards”.  This week we have raised the bar again and uniform is a strength: a rigorous check by form tutors confirmed that 98% of pupils were in uniform.  Thank you.
